NUCS High Point Pot

This pot will be for the Open Pointing and Open Flushing for the 2016 year. The fee will be $200 dollars and will be based off the high point points at the end of the year. The points earned at the Tournament of Champions will not count toward this. A Dog's Owner(s) are not require to come to the Nationals, however; any dog competing to win the high point pot must be present at  the National Finals.  The points will be based on the top 6 best runs plus the National Finals for the final score.  For the 2016 year we will be waiving the requirement that a dog has to have one First place win to be eligible to win the High Point Pot.

This is $200 per dog and each dog can enter only one time in the pot. Handlers and owners can enter as many dogs as they like

If there are 20 or more dogs entered into the NUCH High Point Pot there will be 2 places paid out.  . The payout will be 60%, for first place and 40% for 2nd in each division.  If there are less than 20 dogs entered then 1 placement will be paid out for 100% after the administration fee.  There will be an administration fee taken from the pot

You must have your dog enter in the pot by Feb 1 of 2016 and your fees in by May 1st   2016 , if you enter there is no pulling out you will be held responsible for the fees and will not be allowed to enter NUCS events until the fee is paid.

If we have 50 dogs the pot would be $10000.00 dollars minus administration fees

60% $6000.00 minus fees for 1st 40% $4000.00 minus fees.

This is how we will score High Point Dog for Flushing and Pointing Singles only. The last place dog in a trial will be awarded 2 pts. For every placement above the last place dog, you will add 2 pts.

Example:  5 dogs in the pointing singles, the 5th place dog will get 2 pts, 4th place 4 pts, 3rd place 6 pts, 2nd place 8 pts, and the 1st place dog will get 10 pts.  We feel that this way, a dog that wins a bigger event will be rewarded more.

In the case of a dog being entered in an event 2 times: The highest placement will be awarded points for High Point Dog. The lower placement stands, but no points will be awarded for High Point Dog.

Example:  5 dogs in the event; the 4th and 1st place dog is the same dog, points will go like this—5th place 2 pts, 4th place 0 pts, 3rd place 6 pts, 2nd place 8 pts, 1st place 10 pts.
