Rule
and Qualifying Changes for 2008

There will be
a rule change for 2008 on a safety bird. Starting Feb.
1st 2008 If a competitors calls a safety on a bird and
that bird relocates in bounds only the dog work will be
awarded points (for the point or flush) If the bird
leaves the boundaries of the field full points less the
short bird will be awarded. If your dog or dogs lose
contact with the bird you can score another point or
flush on the same bird. If the judges have any question
on the bird relocating inbounds full points will be
awarded.
We will be
adding the Youth and the Rookie Division with all new
rules will apply.
RUN RULE
There will no longer be a warning for running in
the fields. The judge will ask you to slow down if you
do not, you will be Disqualified. Not only will the
Judge in the field have the right to Disqualify you,
also the Field Marshall. If he is watching your run and
thinks the judge is not keeping you at a safe pace, has
the right to Disqualify the Contestant.
QUALIFYING FOR THE NATIONAL FINALS
Qualifying for
the National Finals for Pointing and Flushing Amateur
Pointing and Flushing Singles
1. You will
still have to compete in 4 events.
2. We will use
the high point points and will invite the top 80 dogs.
You will have until February 15th to inform
us that you are coming or not, then we will step down to
the 81st dog and so on until we fill the
field with 80 dogs this is for the Pointing and Flushing
Singles. The Amateur Flushing and Pointing will be the
top 40 Dogs.
3. The
High Point will change from your best 10 runs to your
best 6 runs. With a 7th
run added, your National Finals placement, to decide the
High point dog.
4. You will be
limited to 4 dogs in 1 division with a total of 6 dogs
that you can handle at the National Finals. You can
bring more dogs to the Nationals but someone else will
have to Handle the dogs.
SANCTION FEES
Our sanction
fees for 2008 will go to $14.00 per entry. The new $4.00
will go in to a separate account and will be used for
travel expenses for our representatives to go to new
clubs and help with there first events or with any
problems that clubs have. Any money that is left over in
this account at the end of the season will be put in to
the finals as added money or to purchased guns for the

fees for 2008 will be raised up $5.00 for all Single and
Amateur runs:

will remain at $60.00

non money runs:

Call Back will
be $40.00
The Doubles
will remain $160.00 per Team
Fees can be
adjusted. Must be approved bye NKC or NUCS officials
first.
